Turkish spunbond and meltblown nonwovens producer, Mogul has recently commissioned a new spunlace line which will be operational by March 2010.
The new 3.2m wide line has an annual capacity of 6000 tonnes will produce nonwovens in the weight range 30-80 gsm and will be capable of processing Tencel, VIS, PET, PLA, PP, bleached cotton and blends.
Serkan Gogus, Mogul’s Commercial Director said that target markets will be wet wipes, cosmetic applications, fem care, diapers, dust wipes, hair towels, bandages, gauzes, filtration and automotive. The line is being installed at a new building at Mogul’s second plant in the 3rd industrial zone in Gaziantep.
Mogul currently produces pp and pet spunbond, meltblown, sms, coated and laminated fabrics and films. “By starting this new line Mogul will be one of most comprehensive supplier of nonwoven fabrics with different technologies and diversified products, especially at our size”, Gogus said.
The line will be dedicated to wet wipes fabrics but it will be an important starting point for Mogul to diversify into spunlace for technical applications and hybrid technologies by combination of spunmelt technologies with hydroentanglement which is in line with the company’s expertise.
