On July 25th, flat knitting technology specialist Stoll, now a business unit of Karl Mayer, opened a new customer centre in Reutlingen-Betzingen, Germany, where it already has production and a development centre opened in 2020.
“The new customer centre is intended as an inspiring meeting place for partners in the textile value chain,” said Andreas Schellhammer, head of Stoll, during his welcoming speech at the event. “Through exchange and joint projects, we want to drive relevant innovations related to flat knitting.”
Many new possibilities are offered by the modern customer centre which houses workshops, a showroom with the latest Stoll trend collections and an extensive sample archive. State-of-the-art equipment is available for training courses, with a machine park of up to 30 flat knitting machines, as well as finishing technology and digital tools.
Experts in machine and software development and in the field of textile applications provide technical support and the know-how and machine technology are available to existing and entry-level customers for implementing their own ideas through to the finished textile solution. The offer is part of Karl Mayer’s new TexLab format, which will be implemented worldwide going forward.
“The customer centre is the innovation hub for flat knitting topics in the Karl Mayer Group and thus makes a fundamental contribution to innovation leadership,” said Schellhammer.
