Massivit 3D, headquartered in Lod, Israel, secured 12 new pre-sale reservations for its new Massivit 10000 printer at the recent JEC World composites show in Paris, bringing orders for the new technology to date to 29 machines.
The Massivit 10000 is designed to print moulds used in industry for the production of carbon and glass fibre composite end-use parts.
It uses “cast-in-motion” technology to print the moulds which enable composite material parts to be produced more rapidly, efficiently, reliably and cheaply than the manual, complex and semi-automatic methods on the market.
The new printer is said to provide significant production cost savings – up to 80% in labour costs, up to 80% in production time and up to 50% in material costs.
Two customers are already engaged in customer Beta testing agreements for the Massivit 10000 – Kanfit, which produces composite material products for key players in the global aviation industry such as Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Elbit Systems, Rafael and the Israeli Air Force, and US-based company Lyonsm which specialises in manufacturing high-end bath ware products.
“The Massivit 10000 printer was launched with great success and we are proud to be returning to Israel with new non-binding reservations,” said Massivit 3D’s CEO, Erez Zimerman. “The printer is generating great interest among potential customers, to whom we presented its unique breakthrough technology which represents the next generation of 3D printers.”
