Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd., the Teijin Group's fibres and products converting company, announced today that it will participate in ISPO Munich, the world’s biggest sportswear exhibition, which will take place at Messe München from 26-29 January.

The Teijin booth (Hall: C2, Booth: No.305) will showcase ‘high-function materials’ which the company says are ideal for sportswear and use recycled materials, whilst offering excellent comfort. Solutions aimed at preventing microplastics pollution and protecting the environment will also be presented.

Teijin Frontier’s exhibit will include:

Light, Soft and Tear-resistant Fabric

This new lightweight fabric is soft and tear-resistant and is resistant to abrasions and snagging. It is also eco-friendly, using recycled materials.

Cordley

High-grade artificial leather Cordley Is lightweight, durable and easy to handle, making it ideal for sports applications such as balls and shoes. Recycled materials are used for the base layer and it is produced using fewer organic solvents throughout the manufacturing process, making it eco-friendly.

Microplastics pollution prevention

Non-brushing and heat-insulating products that reduce microplastics will be exhibited, including a bulky, soft sweat-suit fabric and towel-like pile structure fabric from the Deltapeak series. A bulky tricot material integrated with insulation and lining from the Octa series will also be on display.

Fluorocarbon-free water-repellent materials

Teijin Frontier will exhibit environmentally friendly fluorocarbon-free materials offering durability and water-repellency, including a waterproof breathable fabric and a water-repelling polyester layer fabric that prevents sweat stain and reduces discomfort of sweat.
