Andritz has received an order from Renaissance Textile to deliver a complete recycling line to be installed at ots new plant in Laval, France.

The plant will be equipped with a complete recycling line from Andritz Laroche on which post-consumer waste fibres will be opened,  mixed with virgin fibres and re-spun to ultimately produce new textiles. The specific design of the line is the outcome of close collaboration between experts from Andritz Laroche and the customer, with customised trials having been conducted at the Andritz technical centre in Cours, France.

Renaissance Textile’s target is to become the first French recycling platform dedicated to end-of-life textiles, and the company will soon open the new 12,000 square-metre plant. Start-up of the line is scheduled in June 2022.

“We were looking for a partner to deliver tailor-made, sustainable solutions for our project,” said Christophe Lambert, president of Renaissance Textiles. “After running trials at the Andritz Laroche technical centre, we quickly realised we could rely on the full support of the company’s process experts.”
