INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, has opened registration for its fifth annual Research, Innovation and Science for Engineered Fabrics (RISE) Conference that is due to take place from 9-12 February in Miami, FL.
The entire closing day of the conference will be dedicated to the Nanotechnology for the Third Millennium (N3M) symposium, which highlights major nanofibre application areas and manufacturing processes.
INDA’s RISE Conference is devoted to business/product development professionals, innovation teams, product managers, research engineers, and other technical scouts seeking technical presentations centred on developing and driving innovation and technology within engineered fabrics.
“Our RISE Conference with the N3M symposium on nanofibres brings attendees an exciting new area that simply cannot be ignored by forward-looking companies,” said Dave Rousse, President of INDA.
“We will explore ‘what’s next’ from industry’s most prescient leaders in materials research and innovative science and how it can and will be applied to engineered fabrics.”
Presentations being made at the conference include:
The RISE and N3M conference opens with a Welcome Reception on Monday evening at a soon-to-be announced Miami venue with conference presentations to begin on Tuesday morning. Sessions include spunmelt technology, surface treatments and modifications, new fibres and materials, and novel properties, among others.
Additionally, the conference includes the RISE Durable Product Award, recognising innovation for a commercially launched durable product intended to have a useful life longer than three years that uses nonwoven fabrics or technologies to expand the usage of nonwovens.
Finalists will present their innovative technical products to the industry at RISE 2015. Award nominees will be selected from raw materials, roll goods, converting, packaging, active ingredients, binders, additives and end product categories.
