TiHive, headquartered in Grenoble, France, claimed the 2023 RISE Innovation Award for the development of its SAPMonit technology at the INDA RISE (Research, Innovation and Science for Engineered Fabrics) Conference held from September 26-27 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
SAPMonit enables the lightning-fast inline inspection of superabsorbents in absorbent hygiene products like baby diapers, providing instant details on weight and distribution to optimise resources, detects flaws and accelerates R&D.
TiHive has developed breakthrough nano-chips that can generate and detect Terahertz light for unbeatable performances in terms of speed, precision and the level of integration.
SAPMonit employs advanced see-through cameras, high-speed vision algorithms and secure cloud integration to advance industry standards. It has great potential for cost reduction and enhanced customer satisfaction by potentially eliminating hundreds of tons of plastic waste per production machine per year.
Also at RISE 2023, Ed Thomas, president of Nonwoven Technology Associates, received the 2023 INDA Lifetime Technical Achievement Award for his decades of contributions to the growth and success of the nonwoven industry.
RISE 2024 will be held from October 1-2, 2024 at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
