Leading specialist weaver of technical textiles Arville will once again take its place among the sector’s biggest names and innovators at Techtextil in Frankfurt, from 14-17 May. Representatives from the firm’s Sales and Technical teams will fly to Germany for the four-day event to meet and talk to customers and partners, old and new, from across the globe.

Arville will headline its integrated manufacturing capabilities, covering the design, weaving, coating and fabrication of bespoke textiles – suitable for demanding end applications in a wide range of industries including defence, aerospace, pharmaceutical, and automotive sectors.

The Wetherby-headquartered company is a familiar presence at the high-profile bi-annual fixture, having been recognised as a key exhibitor at the event in previous years. “We are delighted to be heading to Techtextil again. It’s a crucial fixture in our calendar, providing a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our ability to innovate, and discuss projects face-to-face,” said Andy Smith, Group Head of Marketing for Arville.

“Some 65 years on from our beginnings when we started weaving uniforms for the public transport sector, Arville is now positioned as a ‘best-in-class’ specialist in the manufacture of technical textiles.”

Exhibitors at Techtextil will represent the entire spectrum of technical fabrics, functional apparel textiles and related technologies. Texprocess, the leading trade fair for the garment manufacturing and textile processing industry, will take place concurrently.

“These events create real opportunities for us to engage with our customers at an early stage in their projects so they are better informed of just what can be achieved in terms of textiles developed especially with their application in mind,” continued Mr Smith.

Arville’s ambitions to grow its business are being supported with a recent £1.2 million investment in new weaving and warping machines. The company, which has also achieved ISO 14001 certification for its commitment to environmental standards, is now strengthening its fleet of looms, with additional equipment scheduled for commissioning during 2019, as well as a further high-speed warping machine.

This investment in equipment comes after successive year-on-year double-digit growth – and will meet a strategic need to boost manufacturing capabilities to keep pace with customer demand, the company reports.
