The 60th edition of the JEC World composites exhibition in Paris from March 4-6 set new records, attracting over 45,000 professionals from 94 countries and hosting more than 1,350 exhibitors, including those participating in some 27 regional and national pavilions.
The event showcased the extraordinary versatility and innovation of composite materials that continue to redefine lightweighting, performance and design possibilities for an increasing number of applications.
A very strong increase in business relationships was achieved, especially through the JEC Business Meetings programme which enabled more than 13,500 pre-arranged face-to-face meetings to be held over the three days, with SMEs well represented and over 50 start-ups contributing to a lively environment for networking.
Public authorities, industry leaders and analysts were all represented at the vibrant JEC World Think Tank series of circylar economy meetings and the European Composites Circular Alliance was announced at the show on March 4th, with support from the European Commission.
Partnerships
Many strategic partnerships were also signed, including those between Fraunhofer and the ICC in Japan, Orbital and Aditya Birla and Vartega and Syensqo.
The creation of the Composites TP Team further brings together Coriolis, Pinette, L’Institut de Soudure and Loiretech, while CETIM is another new multi-partner initiative involving Beneteau, Veolia, Composites Recycling, Arkema, Chomarat and Owens Corning.
Ambassadors and official representatives from 16 countries also visited the show as part of official delegation tours – from Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, South Korea, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and United States.
Over 600 new products were launched during this year’s show and the JEC Composites Innovation Awards recognised eleven collaborative achievements, reflecting the industry’s dedication to providing new solutions for all application sectors of composites.
The Live Demo zone was particularly visible on the show floor, highlighting automated and robotic processes, including large-scale additive manufacturing technologies as some of the more than 100 machines being demonstrated.
Already, 59% of the exhibition space has already been booked for JEC World 2026, which will take place from March 10-12 next year.
