As part of a three-year distribution agreement, Vickers Laboratories will act as the sole UK distributor for the Archroma Brand & Performance Textiles Specialities division, formerly Clariant and BASF Textile Division. This agreement will see Vickers distributing Textile Specialities chemicals for pre-treatment, dyeing, printing and finishing of textiles.
The partnership comes following the conclusion of the existing partnership between Archroma and their previous distributor, Vision Chemicals.
Powerful addition
“As a leading global colour and speciality chemicals manufacturer, the Archroma Textile Specialities are a powerful addition to our product range,” commented Paul Bottomley, Commercial Director of Vickers Laboratories.
“Vickers have recently expanded their operation into the Textile and Auxiliaries market and see their partnership with Archroma as a key factor to successful growth within this market. We’re looking forward to bringing our distribution qualities in service and supply to the Archroma partnership.”
Sign of growth
According to Vickers Laboratories, the partnership is a sign of growth for the company. It is set to open up the company to new markets as the sole UK distributorship expands the product offering provided by the Vickers Laboratories team.
Through the three-year agreement Vickers will service a number of new markets, including apparel, home textiles, and technical textiles including nonwovens, indoor and outdoor floor coverings and transportation fabrics.
Key additional products include Drimaren reactive dyes for cellulosic coloration, Foron disperse dyes for the highest wash and light fastness requirements, NuvaN soil and stain release and Nylosan acid dyes for polyamide coloration.
Archroma operates with over 3,000 employees across 35 countries. The Brand and Performance Textiles Specialities division delivers specialised performance and colour solutions. Like Vickers Laboratories, Archroma has a commitment to sustainability and compliance to eco-standards.
