ViralOff extends to leather for seating

Muirhead, one of Europe’s oldest tanneries established in 1840 and a member of the Scottish Leather Group, is introducing Active Hygiene Leather with built-in antimicrobial technology designed to improve the hygiene of bus, coach and rail seating.

Polygiene’s ViralOff is permanently integrated into Active Hygiene Leather to provide built-in antimicrobial self-cleaning properties for best-in-class hygiene. the leather during the production process. In addition to breaking down bacteria that cause odours, ViralOff breaks down virus such as SARS-CoV-2 with an efficiency of over 99% within two hours.”

Polygiene, headquartered in Malmö, Sweden is already providing ViralOff to a number of sports and outdoor apparel brands.
