Saurer Gorup’s subsidiary Volkmann, a leader in twisting and cabling technology, will present its latest products and services in the glass fibre production range at the upcoming JEC Europe conference for composite materials that takes place from 10-12 March 2015 in Paris.

At the joint Saurer stand the company will be informing visitors about the features of its new multiply ring twisting Volkmann GlassTwister VGT-P machine.

Highly efficient production

The newly developed multiply ring twisting machine VGT-P with integrated ply unit is most suited for the production of balanced multiply glass yarns, according to the manufacturer.

The gentle handling of glass filaments thanks to modern technology is one of its outstanding features. It is possible to twist two to four single yarns in the fully integrated ply stage. The yarn delivery device that has been especially developed for this process is said to allow for a highly efficient production and excellent quality.

Innovative solution

This new development presents a further step towards offering the customers innovative overall solutions in the glass filament range, the company reports.

The first multiply ring twisting machine VGT-P will be delivered in spring 2015 and the machine aims to fulfil all requirements of the highly developed glass filament market.
