Automation specialist ACG Kinna Automatic has acquired Styrteknik Europe AB, a swedish manufacturer of industrial sewing machines and automatic systems for sewing circles and cross seams in cushions, mattresses, pads and other filled materials and products.

Styrteknik was founded in 1974 and has grown to be a market leader within its segment.

The consolidation became effective in June and Styrteknik became a department within ACG Kinna Automatic at the beginning of this month.

“With Styrteknik onboard, we see an exciting future ahead,” said AC Kinna CEO Christian Moore. “The acquisition adds interesting products to our portfolio and we see multiple synergy effects between our companies in a market which is now ready for the next generation automation level. By combining knowledge and experience, we are extending our offer of complete processes from a single supplier with turnkey solutions for the textile industry and the ability to take on even bigger complete projects.”
