ACG Kinna Automatic has acquired majority ownership of EyeTech, a young, Sweden-based developer of machine vision solutions for manufacturing, warehouse and factory automation.

EyeTech exploits 2D, 3D and deep learning techniques for inspection, measuring, and robot guidance. Founded in 2019, the company has quickly become a market leader in Sweden.

The consolidation is effective immediately and EyeTech will now operate under the name ACG EyeTech as part of the ACG Group.

“With EyeTech onboard, we see an exciting future ahead,” said Christian Moore, CEO of ACG Kinna Automatic. “EyeTech adds interesting products to our portfolio and we see multiple synergy effects between our companies on a market which is now ready for the next generation vision products. By combining EyeTech tools with our know-how and experience, we will extend our offer of new ‘Complete Process, One Supplier’ turnkey solutions for the textile industry and be able to take on even bigger complete projects.”

At this year’s ITMA 2023 exhibition in Milan, ACG Kinna and sister company ACG Nowo demonstrated its complete process for robotic pillow filling.

With the ability to fill and finish some 3,840 pillows in an eight-hour shift, demonstrations of the system drew huge and appreciative crowds to witness seamless fibre handling, filling, sewing and packing in action.
