Cerene is a new range of recycled polymers and materials made with the proprietary carpet reclaiming technology of Houston, Texas-headquartered Circular Polymers by Ascend.

The range includes polyamide 6 and 6.6, PET polyester, polypropylene and calcium carbonate as consistent, sustainable feedstocks for many applications.

Circular Polymers by Ascend converts post-consumer carpet into fibres and pellets with a proprietary process at its California-based facility, to provide a new life for virtually every component of a carpet and its backing. The company has so far redirected 85 million pounds of carpet from landfills into new goods since 2018.

“Customers around the globe are seeking consistent and reliable post-consumer recycled materials and those in the Cerene range have been  mechanically recycled using a process that minimises carbon footprint and environmental impact,” said Maria Field, business director of Circular Polymers by Ascend.
