Avantex Paris is inviting visitors to join the first and only international meeting platform dedicated to sourcing for the high-tech fashion industry, to promote their innovative services or products related to fashion and textiles. The trade show will take place from 17-20 September 2018 in Paris.

“The mutations brought about by technology have created a true revolution and new challenges for fashion designers: technology much enhance fashion while, at the same time, serving the consumer,” the organisers explain.

“This shake-up has meant new uses and ways to imagine garments in terms of their conception and how they are sold. Thus, high-tech fashion has become more democratic and interests a growing number of people as its offer expands with each passing day, extending far beyond the sport world and the textile offer itself.”

Launched in France in 2015 by Messe Frankfurt France, Avantex Paris is a gathering that puts innovation at the heart of reflection, highlighting prospective visions and proposals about the fashion industry through roundtables and animations, brings together experts and well-known players of the industry, from source to end-user and from fibres to finished products, and features the latest research and innovations that contributes to a more sustainable fashion.

The show will feature Avanprint, showcasing digital printing and textile printing equipment and services, as well as innovative dyes. On display will also be e-clothing, e-accessories, developed by start-ups, schools, incubators, designer labels (demo stand), etc. The exhibitors will also showcase new fibres (new properties: water repellence, reflecting retro surfaces, etc.), conductive fibres, threads, surfaces, biotech textiles, innovative inks (conductive, thermochromic, etc.), advanced textiles, flexible or adaptive embedded systems for textiles (batteries, RFID, Sensors flexible boards, etc.), and smart components.

Avantex Paris supports schools, universities and research centres, including: Atelier néerlandais, France; CETI, France; CMST IMEC, Belgium; ENSAD, France; ENSAIT GEMTEX, France; Hochschule Niederrhein; University of Applied Science, Germany; La Martinière Diderot, France; MateriO’, France; and University of Southampton, UK.

In addition to the Innovation Forum, presenting the latest advancements in the industry, catwalks will offer a unique platform to present your products live to an international audience of professional buyers. “Our team of stylists, models, hair stylists and make-up artists under the Artistic Direction of Eymeric François, will take care of the catwalk organisation from A to Z,” say organisers.
