Having successfully expanded with the inclusion of a showcase for carpets and rugs in January this year, Heimtextil organiser Messe Frankfurt reports that registrations from this sector for the 2025 edition of the home textiles show, to be held in Frankfurt, Germany, from January 14-17, have already more than doubled.

To date, a total of more than 2,900 exhibitors from 60 countries have registered for the 2025 edition of the world’s largest and most international trade fair for home and contract textiles. It will provide a well signposted market overview of the sector over 16 halls – from fibres and yarns to finished end products.

“Despite a challenging market situation, Heimtextil remains a strong and reliable platform for the global sector and offers both retailers and contractors solutions for sustainable business success,” said Ivonne Seifurt, Messe Frankfurt’s director of marketing communications for textiles and textile technologies, during a press conference in London on October 23rd. “The most important quality we have identified for companies operating in this sector is resilience, and especially retailers who have had to adapt to the new market reality of the migration to online. The European Union’s Green Deal will add further pressures, but our research indicates consumers are firstly looking for price and quality over sustainability.”

Econogy, however, is the Messe Frankfurt label highlighting sustainable achievements spanning all of the  more than 50 textile trade fairs in the organisation’s worldwide Texpertise Network. Exhibitors can have themselves audited according to ESG/SDG-compliant standards and qualify for the special label on their stand and online. These curated companies are listed in the Econogy Finder tool. In addition, interactive Econogy talks and tours will also be held throughout Heimtextil 2025.

Heimtextil is also the place for the international hospitality industry to find exactly what it needs for contract furnishing. The Interior.Architecture.Hospitality Library in Hall 4.0, put together by an external jury of experts, will present a wide range of carefully selected functional textiles.

Among other planned highlights, Milan-based design platform Alcova  will provide a fresh perspective on the well-established Heimtextil Trends for 2025/26 and well-known designer and architect Patricia Urquiola will unveil an exclusive people-focused installation entitled ‘among-us’.
