PrimaLoft, the leader in providing comfort solutions with high-performance insulations and fabrics, has had its latest innovation PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active bluesign and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 approved.

“Following the successful launch of PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active for Autumn/Winter 2015, we now have these important accreditations for our unique innovation,” said Jochen Lagemann, Managing Director Europe & Asia. “As a responsible manufacturer and supplier to the outdoor industry, we are devoted to meeting the highest standards of worker safety, human rights, and ethical environmental and supply chain practices.”

“Achieving these important standards assures consumers, brand owners and retailers that PrimaLoft is a trusted partner, with products that not only perform to the highest standards, but also adhere to strict ethical guidelines.”

High breathability and thermal properties

PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active is the insulation solution offering both high breathability and thermal properties, designed specifically for high-output adventures.

This soft, packable and water-resistant insulation is designed to regulate wearer’s comfort levels during intense activity. With an industry-leading warmth-to-weight ratio, the construction of PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active is said to enable excess heat and moisture to escape, keeping the user comfortable, warm and dry.

PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active allows product designers to utilise a much wider variety of breathable shell and liner fabrics, resulting in more year-round choices for manufacturers and consumers, according to the manufacturer.

Maximum versatility

“As PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active is the only insulation, which offers both the highest breathability and thermal properties for high octane activities, this allows us much more freedom to use high CFM, breathable fabrics within our insulation range,” commented Terry Stephenson, International Marketing Manager at Montane, who is using PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active in its new Fireball Verso Pull-On for AW 2015 and SS 2016.
