After a successful visit last year, Technical Absorbents will return to the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel (VIATT) taking place from February 26-28 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho-Chi-Minh City.

In addition to having a stand at what is the region’s most comprehensive trade fair covering the full textile value chain, the company will also present a paper at the event’s conference on the use of its superabsorbent fibre (SAF) technology within wearable applications and reusable hygiene garments, as well as addressing sweat management and cooling functions.

“SAF technology innovation has been the focus of our business for over 30 years,” explains commercial director Paul Rushton, who will be travelling to Vietnam for the event. “Today, we not only produce these specialist fibres, but also design and manufacture a wide range of technical, high performing materials all powered by SAF.

“The materials are used globally by customers operating in a diverse range of markets, from medical to structural waterproofing. However, at VIATT we are keen to highlight some of the more innovative applications in which our technology can be used, including the development of our washable fabric range for use in wearable applications. This will be the focus of our presentation material at the conference.”
