FibreTrace has announced a new partnership with Thai Acrylic Fibre (TAF), one of the world’s top five acrylic fibre producers and part of the Aditya Birla Group.

FibreTrace technology is being incorporated into TAF’s Regel recycled fibre, providing a digital passport across the whole production proces, from fibre to yarn  and fabric to finished garment.

The technology works by embedding a luminescent, transparent pigment ID at the raw fibre stage. This non-toxic, zero-impact identification marker enables the verification of physical products from garments to textiles or material products across the entire supply chain journey.

Similar to a hidden barcode embedded directly into the fibre itself and at any point can be scanned to verify exactly where it came from, ensuring complete transparency from factory floor to retail store.

“By integrating FibreTrace technology into our Regel recycled fibre we are providing our customers with an unparalleled level of trust and accountability across the entire supply chain, which we believe is essential for the future of the textile industry,” said Tuhin Kulshreshtha, TAF VP of business development.
