Barcelona-based Recovo, the developer of a software platform for optimising inventory efficiency and promoting circularity within the textiles industry, has announced a new collaboration with IVN Industria, the production unit of Portuguese brand Salsa Jeans.

Recovo’s system optimises inventory efficiency and promotes circularity via a comprehensive waste management solution enabling the reuse, resale and recycling of surplus materials. It will organise the redistribution and reuse of IVN Industria’s leftover textiles by integrating them into other projects when they can no longer be used within the company. This collaboration will allow IVN Industria to save significant resources in the process.

“With Recovo, companies like IVN Industria can easily and quickly sell their surplus fabrics,” says Mónica Rodríguez, CEO and co-founder of Recovo. “Through our comprehensive platform, sellers can effortlessly dispose of their surplus fabrics and yarns while maximising their profits. In addition to fostering circularity, this initiative turns waste into revenue and frees up warehouse space. We manage all digitisation and logistics, including sample shipping, sales, shipping labels and warehouse pickups. Depending on the needs and surplus materials of each business, we can advise on the most suitable partnerships.”

Recovo’s sales process ensures compliance with existing European and local waste legislation, integrating seamlessly with the market through specific programmes.

IVN Industry operates across three key areas – laundry, dyeing and special finishes. It delivers integrated solutions from product R&D to testing, sampling and mass production and in addition to Salsa Jeans, its major partner, supplies finished fabrics to more than 100 other brands globally.

Since its inception in 1994, Salsa Jeans has been committed to traceability and innovation.

“We are proud to partner with Recovo in a joint effort to address one of the fashion industry’s most pressing challenges – textile waste,” says João Martins executive director at IVN Industria. “Through this partnership we aim to repurpose unused fabrics and create innovative denim solutions, demonstrating that environmental stewardship and high-quality manufacturing can go hand in hand.”
