China Technical Textile Watch by Oliver Haiqing Hua

An inspection group, led by CNITA President Li Lingshen and Secretary General Li Guimei, conducted a site visit to Nanhai Wonderful Nonwoven SSS new production line and formally announced the establishment of a Chinese medical nonwoven product demonstration base in Jiujiang Town.

The event was attended by Deng Weiqi, the Director of Foshan Nanhai Wonderful Nonwoven, as well as Cui Yanzhao, Vice President of PGI Nonwoven (China) Asian operations, and local government leaders.

Comprehensive investment

In 2013, Jiujiang realised a GDP of 13.306 billion Yuan (US$ 2.14 billion), and its industrial and commercial revenue amounted 1.037 billion Yuan (US$ 343.47 million).

The first phase of the project has a comprehensive investment, with the introduction of 10 enterprises with a total investment of about 660 million Yuan (US$ 105.93 million) and the annual output value of 610 million Yuan (US$ 97.95 million), and tax 29.219 million Yuan (US$ 4.69 million), including Wonderful Nonwoven SSS and SMMMS9 production lines.

The second phase introduced the PGI project that covers an area of 33,333 square meters and includes a total investment of US$ 34 million.
