Industry trade association Composites UK has announced Tom Rockwood as Apprentice of the Year at its annual awards dinner last week. The awards ceremony provides a platform to recognise all the achievements within the composites sector.

Tom, who has been employed at Sigmatex for just over a year, is part way through an HND in Mechanical engineering and works within the Maintenance Team supporting the mechanical and electrical teams. Since joining the business, he has become an integral part of the team and has worked on some high-level projects within our Runcorn site, the company reports.
