Nylstar, one of the leading producers of Polyamide 6.6 filaments and yarns will be participating at Interfilière Paris next weekend, showcasing its premium fibre, Nylgold, as well as other recent innovations.
Top designers from all over the world visit Interfilière to anticipate tomorrow’s trends in intimates and beachwear a year and a half before collections are released in stores. At the unique event, Nylstar will showcase its premium fibre, unveiling all the possibilities that Nylgold can offer for the Autumn-Winter 2014-2015 season.
“The future of fabrics is related to new functionalities. These must not only be light, soft and comfortable but enhance wellbeing and performance. Nylgold, fibers beyond fashion, responds to this emerging trend, and is expected to be an authentic revolution in the textiles and cosmetic market performing moisturizing, firming and anti-oxidant properties,” says Nylstar Marketing Manager , Carla Fdez-Moreno.
“By activating the natural production of our Hyaluronic Acid, Nylgold moisturizes the skin. It is also anti-oxidant because it helps the body fight the effects of free radicals reducing Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) production. Last, but not least, Nylgold has a firming effect on the skin, meaning that collagen is boosted, reducing wrinkles and helping the skin look smoother.”
Nylstar’s Technical Manager, Jordi Casadevall comments: “Numerous brands have already produced fabrics and garments with our premium Fibre, where performance results have exceeded Nylstar’s expectations.”
Tests on fabrics and garments made with Nylgold yarn have been conducted by Leitat, a Technological Center founded in 1906, and member of TECNIO, recognized and awarded for its activity in research, development and industrial innovation. According to Nylstar, some of the tests show how, depending on the percentage and fibre construction, moisturizing efficacy can be increased up to 254% compared to non-treated cells.
Nanotechnology
Nylstar says that its Nylgold deluxe fibre with anti-aging properties, has been made possible because of the close collaboration of Nylstar with Endor Nanotechnologies, a ‘nanomedicine’ company which discovered Golden Hyaluronan, a combination of Gold and Hyaluronic Acid bonded nanoparticles, while researching for a cure against skin cancer.
Nylgold is the result of adding this combination to Nylstar’s Polyamide 6.6 yarns during the spinning process, changing its molecular composition. In contrast to ordinary cosmetics, Nylstar says, Nylgold acts directly on the skin cells, stimulating its own Hyaluronic Acid production and achieving moisturizing, firming and anti-oxidant properties that can vary depending on the fabric construction and composition.
Nylstar will be showcasing Nylgold and other innovations at Interfilière Paris this year with a stand in the High Tech area, in booth P25. The company will present a range of fabrics as well as a nightwear collection made with Nylgold. The company will also participate in “The Wellbeing and Textiles” conference on Monday 8th at 11.30 at the Espace Conférence.
