Máquinas Industriais para Bordados (MIB), a distributor of embroidery machinery based in Cabeçudos, Portugal, has secured orders for ten Coloreel thread colouring units, consisting of both multi-head and single head machines, with various companies.

MIB has more than 25 years of experience in the embroidery machine industry and a large number of high-end customers in the textile and decoration industry. The new Coloreel systems will enable more of its customers to unlock advanced embroidery potential.

“I am so excited that MIB, a company with such a high reputation and experience in the Portuguese market, has selected our technology for more sustainable and creative embroideries,” said Sven Öquist, VP of sales at Coloreel Group AB. “The company sees the potential our technology can brings to its business and it is a milestone for us because it also means that several of MIB’s customers are increasing their installations of Coloreel units to meet the increase in demand for our decoration technology.”

Coloreel technology preserves the craftsmanship of embroidery while taking it to the next level. It makes previously complicated designs accessible, including gradients, textures and other effects. Using only a single thread and needle means that it also significantly improves quality and efficiency, enabling immediate start up and faster delivery.

The Swedish company is also part of the movement to reduce waste and move the textile industry towards more sustainable production. By colouring the thread directly, there is no wastewater, hence no water pollution. Using a single reel of thread and needle also means minimised thread waste and microfibre pollution.
