Biella, Italy-based Officina39 showcased a range of new process solutions for the dyeing, washing and finishing of denim at the recent Kingpins show in Amsterdam (April 16-17).
The company continues to develop its Recycrom range of pigment powders that are 100% derived from textile waste and produced through a patented mechanical upcycling process.
These even dyes can be used on both natural and synthetic fabrics, applied by dyeing, printing, coating or spraying and have already been adopted by a range of designers and brand partners.
To make the range even more accessible and impactful to the market, Officina39 recently launched Recycrom Ready to Dye, a range of 15 in-stock colours made from a minimum of 65% recycled pre- and post-consumer textile materials, offering brands the ability to choose and create their own dyes from a standard colour chart.
Also new from the company is Smart Bright, an integrated package of solutions designed to enhance denim brilliance and colour depth while maintaining fabric integrity.
ZeroPP is meanwhile a full package of solutions for replacing potassium permanganate in processing, while NylonWorn is a waterless finishing treatment process with which a soft, stretchy, durable and vintage appearance can be created on polyamide-based fabrics.
In its Power of Collaborations showcase at Kingpins, Officina39 highlighted the latest achievements in denim effects through seven partnerships with Cocircular Lab, Endrime and Naveena, Lenzing and Meidea, Pacific Knit Division, Paolo Gnutti’s ISKO Luxury by PG, SFI/Artistic Milliners and Tonello.
